Top of the morning to the readers. So I'm really excited to write about this topic cause I like to consider myself as a good movie critic and I love watching movies so this is perfect for me. I started watching a lot of movies in the last year ( I bet everyone did ) Because we had this small thing called Covid 😅. My family has this ritual where we take turns in choosing the genre every week. Even though we saw plenty of really good movies there will always be rot in a bunch of good fruits. So I'm here to warn you guys against those.
Disclaimer: All these reviews I'm about to give are just my personal opinion so it doesn't mean that you will not like the movie too. Please don't hate the movie solely based on my word. Do check the movie out and write in the comments if you liked them or why you think my judgment was wrong. We all can correct our mistakes with open mind 💓
1. Anveshanam
Plot: It starts with a kid being admitted to the hospital and there is a strong doubt that he has been abused. The police come right away to investigate the truth behind this mystery but get into more trouble when the kid dies on the hospital bed.
2. Forensic
Plot: When a psychotic murderer sets out on a killing spree, Samuel, a medico-legal advisor, uses his forensic skills to unravel the truth behind the heinous deeds.
Plot: A happy-go-lucky boy named Antony disappoints his father, who used to be a teacher. The latter brings home two puppies to show his son how grateful animals can be. Antony, who hates puppies, takes every opportunity to disturb them.
Before watching this movie I was on a spree of watching crime/thrillers/horror. So I thought that I'd have a break from crime and watch some feel-good movies. So I chose this one and it disappointed me. After reading the plot I came to a conclusion that it is going to be kind of like a tug of war between the dogs and Antony but at last, they will get together and he will become responsible more. But all I got was an unconvincing story ( If there is a story at all? ). Unnecessary threads/situations. As a viewer, I was confused about whose story it was. Was it a love story? Or the dog's story? Or was it about father-son bonding? A bunch of loosely bound concepts. Too many slow scenes. The movie is trying too hard to be a tear-jerker.
Okay! So that's the three Malayalam movies that I despise. Even though these were bad I watched a lot of movies which were great and I really enjoyed watching so I'll make a post about the best movies I've watched in the near future. If you dig that idea then do comment below.
Until then,
Truly Greg ❤
